Memorial Leaves
Our memorial wall is a testament to the legacy that Alison Ticehurst created when she pushed open the gate to an abandoned and overgrown garden. This beautiful 5 acre garden would become a community resource, supporting the health and well-being of over 100 volunteers.
Many of our visitors look to create a memorial for loved ones in the garden, those that visited frequently, that had a special connection with the space or individuals that were fondly remembered when visiting.
Our leaves are solid brass, and can be engraved with as much detail as required. They are securely fixed to our Orchid House Wall with brass screws and will be maintained by the garden for years to come.
Our memorial leaves can be purchased for a single donation of £300
A proof will be forwarded to you by email before your leaf is made – memorial leaves take up to 10 days to appear in the garden from date of order.
Payment can be made by BACS to Helmsley Walled Garden, please email [email protected] or call in at our visitor kiosk to purchase your memorial leaf. Alternatively, make a donation for your leaf on our Local Giving page – do ensure you fill in your full details and email address if paying via Local Giving.
Terms & conditions
- The garden will determine the positioning of your leaf on our wall.
- All memorial leaves remain the property of Helmsley Walled Garden and cannot be removed without our permission.
- Text must be approved by the garden.
- Final proof of text must be agreed by the donor and cannot be changed once an order is placed.
- Memorial leaves will remain in place for a minimum of 15 years
- The garden reserves the right to remove leaves for maintenance or other necessity as required.
