Looking to build our trustee team

Helmsley Walled Garden is a beautiful and historic walled garden in the North York Moors National Park. It has been welcoming visitors for over 25 years and has become a special place, treasured by visitors and volunteers alike. We are passionate about improving people’s mental and physical health by demonstrating the life enhancing impact of working in or simply being in a beautiful outdoor space. Trustees have a crucial role to play in securing the future of this much-loved garden. Do you want to be part of a committed and enthusiastic team where you can use your skills and experience to help us continue to deliver outstanding opportunities for volunteers and provide a rich visitor experience? Could you be one of our next Trustees?

We are looking to recruit three new trustees to fill vacancies arising from the retirement of the former Chair in 2022 and the anticipated retirement of two trustees during 2023. • Strategic planning
  • HR management/organisational development

  • Fundraising
  • Commercial
  • Horticultural

Experience of working in a senior management position in a charity or public sector body or previous experience as a trustee of a charity would be particularly welcome, however people whose experience is in the private sector are also encouraged to apply.
