Willow weaving workshop – Learn to weave an obelisk

Create a plant stand from willow

Just in time for the growing season, learn how to make a tall obelisk for your garden – perfect for growing sweet peas, climbing beans or other annual climbers. You’ll use a former to create the shape, weaving your way up and creating spirals as you go. Go as tall as you like but don’t forget it needs to fit into your car!

We have two workshops on offer and the sessions will start at 10:30 and 2pm on Saturday, the 23rd March. They’ll last 2.5 hours and you’ll take your obelisk home with you.

These workshops are run by Janice Burley, from Down 2 Earth. She is a garden designer and willow weaver. With twenty years of gardening experience and more recently, willow weaving – Janice likes to share her knowledge and skills to encourage other people to get creative with their environment. Spaces are limited so book your place now.

A minimum of 4 bookings are required in order for the workshop to go ahead. There is a maximum of 6 bookings per class, to allow everyone the space and attention they need.
