Gift shop

Our well-stocked gift shop has a wonderful range of artisanal crafts, local food and wellness products, alongside a well-selected range of books, cards, mugs and garden gifts. We also have a children’s table stocked with books, craft kits and other delightful knick-knacks. Our shop is updated seasonally.

Plant centre

Why not take a bit of Helmsley Walled Garden home with you? We grow a range of our own plants for sale, as well as stocking a range of seasonal and often unusual plants from British nurseries.

Well-behaved dogs on leads are welcome in the shop and plant centre.

Gift Vouchers

We have gift vouchers available for our Annual Pass and Day Entry, and we also have Plant Centre vouchers available for sale. We can arrange for these to be posted out for a £1 fee (to cover postage). Please email us or call our office on 01439 772314 Wednesday to Sunday to arrange.

In 1994, Alison Ticehurst had a vision that Helmsley Walled Garden could be not only a beautiful garden to visit but also a restorative space. One that would benefit everyone who came there; visitors, volunteers, theatre goers, and course participants.

Now, we are proud to carry forward the work that Alison started. The garden continues to flourish under the care of our 100-strong group of volunteers who, with the support of the garden’s volunteer coordinators, trim, weed and mulch, propagate and sow, to create a restorative space of natural beauty for everyone to enjoy.
